WHQ essential Links

If you are reading this blog then you most likely already know these links. Without them, the WHQ experience just wouldn't be the same. I have added how they helped me but my comments are by no means all that these sites have to offer. There are several of WHQ sites out there, but these are the ones that have enriched my gaming experience. This is my way of saying THANK YOU and sharing what I know.

Games Workshop

They made the game back in the 90s, but it was just a side project of theirs and sadly discontinued.

Chronicles of the old world

An amazing collection of resources with original Old World, Norsca, Lustria and Nehekhara expansions including events. These expansions have been a major influence on my own expansions of these gaming environments. Playing time is more convenient with their collection of Monster Magic along with all their added or improved Monsters, beautifully published in WHQ style per type. They also have  excellent board pieces that will spice up the dungeon experience easily. There are some interesting Monster Characters you can try such as the Necromancer, Minotaur and Vampire.

 The Imperial Vault
An essential collection of board sections, new event cards, improved Monsters and the Critical Hits rule nicely explained. They have numerous resources including a random Event Generator for those tired of the same old cards. Just refresh to get another one!

Quest of Legend
This site has some great board sections (dungeon tiles) that just make the game so much better. They are also dedicated to making new Monster Event Cards for higher level playing like Dragons while maintaining the classic WHQ. My personal favorite is the Mimic (Treasure Chest Monster) which can be easily incorporated when finding a treasure chest.

The Museum
For all those WHQ players out there who have not discovered the Omnibus collection, this is about to blow your mind. Chaos Phil, one of the original designers of the game, released his personal stash of Monsters inspired from all over the place. This expansion is a must for WHQ players that are using all the new miniatures out there and enriches the WHQ Monster universe in innumerable ways. The site also contains lots of Warriors, fan made Rules and maintains an active forum.

Warhammer Quest Customized

Littlemonk's forum is active for all those wanting to add their stuff or discuss the game. Plenty of gaming info to pour your eyes over and really friendly people.

2nd edition material

Not sure where I got this link, I think it was in one of the forums from Warhammer Quest Customized and/or The Museum. It is all the 2nd edition materials. The library is extensive, including Sewer rules, expanded and improved Monsters, a fresh take on the Chaos Warrior and Mutations along with re-balancing the game so Initiative can dictate attacking rules and order. Several cool new Warriors too. There is something for everyone here, even if you aren't an Initiative convert.
